Calit2 2012 Summer Undergraduate Research Scholarship Program at UCSD
10-week summer scholarship open to all academic disciplines.
Application deadline:
Monday, March 12th, NOON 5 pm PST.
Late applications will not be accepted.
Online application is now available.
It is strongly encouraged that you attend one of two Information Sessions:
Mon., Feb. 13 at 12:00 PM in room 4004, Atkinson Hall
Fri., Feb. 17 at 10:30 AM in room 4004, Atkinson Hall.
You will need to provide PDF copies of your Research Proposal (2 page max.) and Grade Transcript
A letter of recommendation from your faculty advisor is required, in addition to the project proposal. Your advisor will be required to fill out an online recommendation questionnaire for your application to be considered complete.

ATTENTION UC SAN DIEGO UNDERGRADS: BECOME A PAID CALITZ RESEARCHER THIS SUMMER!
If you are a registered UC San Diego undergraduate frorn any acadernic discipline, you are encouraged to apply to be a Ca|it2 Scholar. Incoming students registered for fall quarter and graduating seniors are also eligible. The student must find their own faculty advisor and will perform hands-on research under their advisor’s guidance for 10 weeks. The student can either assist on an ongoing project or propose a new one. Students will be required to attend weekly seminars and presentations for research and career development.

The 2011 Calit2 Summer Scholars Program is concluding today with an ice cream social and "Opportunities at UCSD" seminar in room 4004 at 11AM. This event is mandatory to all summer scholars! The poster session will be on September 21st from 2PM-5PM in the Atkinson Hall lobby and is open to the public.

Calit2 Summer Scholars from Group C will be presenting tomorrow at Atkinson Hall. Group D will be presenting on Tuesday at the same time and place. This will conclude all presentations for the 10-week program until the Poster Session on September 21 from 2PM-5PM at Calit2.
What is Calit2?
UCSD Calit2 is a non-academic university research unit where researchers from different disciplines come together to study and develop new technology to address needs and issues in our economy and society.
Program Overview
The UCSD Calit2 Summer Undergraduate Research Scholar Program provides college students with the opportunity to perform hands-on research under the guidance of a UCSD faculty advisor over a 10-week period. The student can either assist in an ongoing research project or propose a new project.
